Summary
The Celebic Villa (3*) in Budva is a fine example of a mini hotel. The large, spacious rooms (which are rare in Montenegro), are always clean and well presented. Breakfasts are good and complimentary coffee and tea are available at the reception desk. The villa is operated by its owners, so you can always discuss any issues directly. I should note that the hostess governs everything here. She can answer any more important issues that may arise.
Despite the hotel stating the contrary, there is no decent sea view in the suites. I found to photo to back this up. Such a ‘view’ is only available in half of the rooms, so do note this when booking.
The villa is surrounded by small grounds. There is noise nearby and no crowds of people. It is a tranquil place in the centre of Budva.
You will see it is often rated a four star hotel. However, Booking.com and I consider it a three-star hotel.
Facilities
All local Budva facilities are nearby; shops, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, a stadium, a swimming pool, bus stops and the beach.
Celebic Villa Location
The villa is located in Budva’s residential area. The only downside is a longer walk to the old city following the coastline (about half an hour) but other than that, it is perfect.
For a trip around Montenegro you can rent a car in Budva and have it delivered to your hotel.
Do note if you are travelling by car you can only go via the backstreets (see map), but you can walk from the Adriatic highway, so the walk to the seaside is not more than 3-5 minutes.
