The Romanov in Sveti Stefan is a beautiful, understated yet luxurious, four-star hotel, situated just 80 metres from the sea.
The Romanov is Russian-owned and all members of their friendly and upbeat team speak Russian. You get a real sense that the team here enjoy what they do; this is reflected in the decor, the attention of detail throughout the Romanov and the wide range of services on offer to guests.

There is an underground parking lot, a children’s playroom, a playground, a small spa with a swimming pool (in adjacent building) with a view of the town and the Sveti Stefan island, a barbecue area, a summer cafe, a lobby bar, and a restaurant. The restaurant serves fine local, Mediterranean, and Russian food but perhaps even more notable is the artwork on display, famous faces from the world of politics, entertainment and business adorn the walls, depicted in a Renaissance style.

The Romanov has two dozen suites, all with a sea view. The views of spectacular, aside from the endless sea, you can also see the entire island hotel of Sveti Stefan.

Sveti Stefan is very peaceful, the location of the Romanov means it can only be accessed by hotel guests and three local families, the beach is only 80 m away. There is no noise from beaches, nightlife, roads or markets meaning uninterrupted beauty and peace.

Facilities

In addition to the hotel facilities, there are 2 restaurants a ten minute walk away, a grocery store, and stalls places where you can buy beach essentials and soft drinks. There is a bus stop 15 minutes away and a beauty salon in a nearby villa which is 50 m from the hotel.

Guests of the Romanov can use the hotel’s own private section of the beach with beds and umbrellas and the municipal portion of the beach, in addition to the beaches that are maintained by the most luxurious hotel in Montenegro, Aman Sveti Stefan (5*). The beach near the Isthmus island is €25 for 2 beds and an umbrella and the King’s Beach is €70 for the same. The Queen’s Beach is off limits in summer.

Romanov Hotel Location

The Romanov hotel does not directly look onto the sea, but the sea view is unobstructed. As the entire village of Sveti Stefan is located below on a mountain slope, a few buildings are nearer to the water. The Romanov is second-lining them. The sea can be approached directly from the hotel between the buildings.

Travelling by car is fine but ensure you consult a map so not to miss the turning. Straightforward I know, but essential.
