Summary
The Queen of Montenegro four–star hotel in Bečići is perhaps one of the best 4-star hotels on the Montenegro coast. If it was located on the seafront it would undoubtedly be a 5 star hotel but it is a ten minute walk to the sea. This aside the hotel is spectacular. There is a great restaurant, large lobby bar, casino, spa, swimming pool, fitness centre, beautiful entrance hall and large, bright rooms. There is a good view of the mountains and the sea almost everywhere. There is a spacious open terrace, a cafe and a rooftop pool with a sea view.
During the Yugoslav era, The Queen of Montenegro was called Panorama, referring to the panoramic views from the rooms.
The hotel staff are professional and helpful. Most speak English, some speak Russian. Although the Splendid hotel in Montenegro had five-stars, I think that The Queen of Montenegro tops it in overall quality of service. I have heard negative feedback about the Splendid and their attitude towards guests, and I still have to hear something like that about The Queen of Montenegro so I have only heard positive comments.
Facilities
There are a couple of small groceries near The Queen of Montenegro. There is a bus stop 5 minutes away where you can take a bus to Budva (which leaves every 10-15 minutes). There are only a few buildings around the hotel so the surroundings are quiet and not crowded. At the hotel, there are tennis courts and parking.
Queen of Montenegro Hotel Location
The Queen of Montenegro is located on the border between Bečići and Rafailovići. There are only villas, small hotels, and private houses surrounding it. The old part of Budva is in 5 km, the taxi fare is €6.
As I mentioned above, the hotel is a little way from the sea. However, there is a direct path to a semi-private beach. It leads you by a pedestrian bridge above the road, so you won’t have to cross the road. It’s a 7-10 minute walk to the sea, you will see the Bečići beach. Here you will find restaurants, beach bars and a range of cafes.
